Perspective is...

...visiting the hospital room of an 18 month old little girl with Leukemia, fighting the debilitating effects of the chemotherapy coursing through her tiny body, hooked up to a ventilator to help her breath through the fluid in her lungs from the pneumonia

...looking into the haunted, tired eyes of the parents desperate for good news, any good news...

...imagining that it is your little girl laying in that bed and your haunted, tired eyes staring back at a visitor, making small talk when you really want to scream at them to do something, anything to help your baby girl

...realizing that the ups and downs of raising a special needs child often interferes with your ability to recognize how truly fortunate you are that she is healthy
