We didn't get to the pool until around 7:00 that evening, and it was uncharacteristically cool here that night. We tried to ease her into the water - but she was quite skeptical. Can you see that look of apprehension on her face? It was similar to the look on my face. The overprotective mother in me thought it was just too stinkin cold to have our little bean in the water.
We finally agreed that the pool was just too cool for the bean, so we moved to the heated pool next door and tried just the feet. At first she was intrigued.
But that quickly turned into full blown disgust.
She did eventually let us plop her down on the steps, but she soon registered her displeasure with the whole situation quite vociferously.
Daddy rescued her but she continued to give the stink eye to that pool. She really didn't know what to make of it.
But in true Lois fashion, she happily hung out with her Momma for the rest of the night while her Daddy and Uncle Scootie tossed Maggie around in the pool.
So it wasn't a total wash, but any future trips to the pool will need to be made earlier in the day, and in warmer weather. And considering how much moolah we just dropped on a membership, Lois's butt will be in this pool a lot. So she better start liking it.

Wook at those weggies! (For those without children or those who are unimaginative, replace the "w" with an "l." You've gotta scrunch your face up when you say it. Then to be able to kiss those wittle weggies would be the ultimate!
Oops, I forgot about Lois toes...gotta kiss them too! Wouldn't want them to feel neglected. DM
